My New Website!

I'm delighted to say that I've got a new, and very pretty, website! It's been set-up and designed by James Cooper, a friend who's a professional web-designer. The site is at: http://sallysvintagechic.co.uk/

I'll be blogging on the new site as well, so please go and have a look at it and let me know what you think!

There's a page about my new shop that opened last Friday and what fayres and things I'll be having a stall at. I'm hoping to start selling some things online soon as well - all very exciting!

So go and have a look at my new site at: http://sallysvintagechic.co.uk/!

VINTAGE AND RETRO FAYRE

Not long to go now. What two lovely assistants we have.Couldn't quite reach high enough myself !

Wednesday, 13 June 2012

Next show is our very own Vintage and Retro Fayre on the 23rd June 10-4

 at The Minehead Methodist Church.

Don't miss it,it's sure to be a good time!!

My Stall

A good mix of everything sold, china, pressed glass, furniture, cushions, accessories and of course bunting.

Camping at The Bath and West Show

Well it was quite cosy,we all camped behind the marquee and one night we had a barbecue.
I cannot say the same about the Cornwall Show as it was horrendous weather, gale force winds and torrential rain,I was not a happy camper.
People still turned out to shop though. The great British spirit.!! Anyway you will be pleased to know I survived and my tent did not blow away unlike some poor souls.

particularly furniture,it,s always good when you don't have
to pack it all up again in the vehicle,it never seems to go in
                                           the same way it came.

Shepton Mallet Flea

Well I get about a bit.Is there no stopping this woman?
The sun came out as you can see.
Good job no one takes a gazebo here.
                                                               Milverton here I come!!

Nether Stowey Street Fair

Well they are always lots of work so it's good when your stall is appreciated, despite not taking the gazebo as I was warned it was very windy.I could just imagine me on my own trying to hang onto it while trying to stop the china from crashing to the floor!! As it was it stayed dry and calm, a jolly good time washad by all. Thanks to all those who visited my stall.

                                                 VINTAGE EMBROIDERED BUNTING
Don't worry no tablecloths were damaged or injured during the making of this bunting!!!
Seriously, the original cloth was very damaged from all the wear,so I rescued it and gave it a new life.

                                                            VINTAGE COTTON NAPKINS
When I made these it reminded me of long hot summer days and picnics.
Not sure why, just evoked some memory from somewhere.
          VINTAGE FABRIC AND EMBROIDERED HEARTS
I have been busy sewing pretty things for our stall at Shepton Mallet Flea.I was hoping to post the things I had made before we went but my pictures would not upload. They looked very pretty put amongst the vintage china  on the stall.

Shabby Chic Footstool Covered with Cabbages and Roses Fabric

I love this little stool that a friend gave me. It used to be dark brown
stain on the legs and had a very dull cover.Hasn't it come to life now?
I am taking it to Clifton this weekend to a new customer who has a
a vintage shop in the arcade.
